Taiwo Awoniyi To Host Governor AbdulRazaq, Top Dignitaries At Kwara Kiddies League Grand Finale

The Organising Committee of the Kwara Kiddies League (KKL) has announced that preparations have been concluded for the Season IV Grand Finale scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) Pitch, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.

The prestigious youth football event is expected to attract top dignitaries, stakeholders, and passionate supporters of grassroots football from across the state and beyond.

Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi, will serve as the Host of this year’s edition, while the Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Abdullahi Musa, will act as Chief Host.

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, will be the Father of the Day.

Also expected at the Grand Finale are the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, the House Leader, Hon. Abdulkadir Oba, and the Chairperson of the House Committee on Sports, Hon. Rukayat Shittu. Commissioners, local government chairmen, senior government aides, sports administrators, business executives, media professionals, and community leaders will also be in attendance.

The final day of the competition will feature a full lineup of matches involving participating academies as they conclude an exciting league season.

The Grand Finale will also host the announcement of award winners in various categories, including Goalkeeper of the Season, Defender of the Season, Midfielder of the Season, Top Striker of the Season, and Best U13 Player of the Season. Nominees from Makamz FA, Unicorn FA, KFA, Koller FA, Afrikan Kiddies, Barca Kiddies, Future Stars, Achievers FA, Surprise FA, and Gaa Akanbi Kids will vie for top honours following their remarkable performances throughout the season.

Host of the event, Taiwo Awoniyi, expressed pride in the growth and rising influence of the league, describing KKL as a symbol of hope and opportunity for young footballers in the state.

He noted that the Grand Finale represents a celebration of dreams, urging the public to come out and support the children who have shown outstanding talent and discipline.

Organising Committee Chairman, Olaide Ahli, reaffirmed the committee’s readiness to deliver a memorable event, appreciating Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his consistent support for youth and sports development.

He assured participants and spectators that maximum security arrangements have been finalised to ensure a safe, well-coordinated and exciting atmosphere for all attendees.

Ahli encouraged parents, football academies, sports lovers, and the general public to attend in large numbers and celebrate the promising young stars who continue to position Kwara as a strong hub for grassroots football development.
