Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has congratulated para-badminton star Mariam Eniola Bolaji on her outstanding victory at the 2025 British and Irish Para Badminton International Tournament, where she emerged as a gold medalist.
Describing Bolaji as a global champion and a symbol of excellence, Governor AbdulRazaq hailed her determination, hard work, and courage, which have consistently delivered impressive results on the international stage.
The governor said in a statement issued on Sunday, “Mariam Eniola Bolaji is cementing her place as one of the world’s finest para athletes. Her success is a powerful reminder to the younger generation that there are no limits to what they can achieve.”
He further encouraged her to stay focused and ambitious, assuring that the state remains committed to supporting her.
“We recently named a sporting facility after her, and we will continue to honour her efforts every step of the way,” he added.
Governor AbdulRazaq commended Bolaji for making Africa, Nigeria, and Kwara State proud once again.
