Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has officially released its approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session, signaling the resumption of academic activities.
The announcement followed the institution’s 63rd Regular Senate Meeting, where the calendar was considered and approved.
According to the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, online registration and orientation for both fresh and returning students commenced on Monday, September 29, 2025, and will run until Saturday, October 18, 2025. Lectures are scheduled to begin on Monday, October 20, 2025.
The Harmattan Semester will feature key events such as:
End of Registration for Returning Students: October 19, 2025
End of Registration for Fresh Students: October 31, 2025
Matriculation Ceremony: December 4, 2025
Mid-Semester Break: December 22–23, 2025
Examinations: January 19 – February 14, 2026
Release of Results: March 12, 2026
For the Rain Semester, registration begins with Add/Drop from March 16 to March 30, 2026, while lectures commence on March 23, 2026. Other notable dates include:
