The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially announced the date for the main online recruitment examination for shortlisted candidates in the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres.

According to a statement released by the Service, the examination is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 9th October 2025. This marks a major stage in the ongoing NCS recruitment exercise for 2025.

The statement explained that candidates have been grouped into three batches — A, B, and C — and are to log in with their National Identification Number (NIN) via the official portal: https://updates.customs.gov.ng to confirm their batch, date, and time for the exam.

The NCS emphasized that strict compliance with the assigned batch and time is mandatory, warning that failure to adhere could lead to disqualification.

Candidates were also strongly advised against using calculators, mobile phones, or any other devices during the examination. Similarly, applicants must avoid multiple log-ins or switching browser windows, as such actions could disrupt their participation in the online test.

The Service clarified that this examination phase is exclusively for Inspectorate and Customs Assistant Cadre applicants, stressing that Superintendent Cadre candidates are not required to participate at this stage.

The Nigeria Customs Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency, fairness, and merit throughout the recruitment process, urging applicants to rely solely on official NCS communication channels for updates and instructions.
